A Sanskrit Dhatu Manjari is a traditional Indian and Indian-American dictionary of Sanskrit words and their meanings. It was compiled by Dr. Virendra Sharma in order to provide useful information for English language learners of Sanskrit, or those with an interest in the language, which he notes is "one of the three classical languages of India". The Dhatu Manjari contains about 30,000 words and their meanings in both Devanagiri script and transliterated English. The original book was published in the 1970s but has been revised several times since then. It is claimed that this is a Tamil version of the Sanskrit work, Dhatupatha. Officially, the canonicity of the text is not recognized by any scholars nor is there any evidence to support it being a translation from Sanskrit into Tamil language, or that it had been composed by Tulsidas. cfa1e77820
